About

Amira al Rawi is a self-taught Dutch dancer and theatre-maker whose work draws on hip-hop, Waacking and House dance, with flamenco as a more recent addition. She combines these street styles with live music and storytelling on stage. Her production *Majnun* retells the classical Arabic love story of Layla and Majnun alongside the Amsterdams Andalusisch Orkest.
