Alyt Damstra is a professor of Knowledge and Strategic Policy Advice at the University of Amsterdam and a researcher at the Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR). Her work focuses on the politicisation of knowledge - how scientists enter the political arena, how politicians hide behind science, and what populism and algorithm-driven news consumption do to that relationship.
