About

Allie X, born Alexandra Ashley Hughes in Oakville, Ontario in 1985, is a Canadian singer-songwriter, producer and visual artist who cut her teeth in Toronto's club scene before relocating to Los Angeles in 2013. Her 2014 debut single 'Catch' launched the Allie X project, which has since grown into a body of work spanning synth-pop, avant-pop and dark electronics across albums including Cape God (2020) and the self-produced Girl with No Face (2024). She has also written songs for artists such as Troye Sivan and BTS, and commands a devoted following in queer and alternative subcultures.
