Ab Baars is a Dutch saxophonist, clarinettist and composer working at the intersection of jazz and free improvisation. He studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and has collaborated closely with violist and composer Ig Henneman for decades, including as Duo Baars Henneman. His work is marked by a distinctive voice that blurs the line between composition and spontaneous invention.
