VERA Downstage is the smaller stage within Groningen's VERA pop venue, used for up-and-coming acts and more experimental programming. The intimate room suits indie gigs, club nights and try-outs equally well. VERA itself has been a fixture of the Dutch alternative music scene since the 1980s.
