Suikerunie is a former sugar factory complex on the edge of Groningen, now repurposed as a cultural hub for events and creative initiatives. The industrial halls and open grounds host festivals, concerts, markets and art projects throughout the year. The raw, unpolished character of the old factory buildings gives the site a distinctly different feel from conventional venues in the region.
