Radiotelescoop Dwingeloo

Dwingeloo

About the venue

The Dwingeloo radio telescope was completed in 1956 and was at the time the largest radio telescope in the world. Its 25-metre dish sits on the Drenthe heathland and is maintained by CAMRAS volunteers. The site regularly opens its doors for guided tours and stargazing evenings, and the telescope is still used for amateur radio astronomy and space projects.
