About the venue

The Nationaal Vlechtmuseum in Noordwolde traces the history of the wickerwork industry that shaped this part of Friesland for centuries. The permanent collection includes baskets, mats and other woven objects, alongside reconstructions of the conditions in which home workers once plied their trade. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and hands-on workshops.
