About the venue

Museum Nagele tells the story of the village of the same name in the Noordoostpolder, designed in the 1950s by architects from the De 8 en Opbouw collective - including Aldo van Eyck and Mart Stam. Housed in three of the original dwellings, the museum shows how a modernist vision of an entirely new village on reclaimed polder land was turned into reality.
