About the venue

Museum Menkemaborg in Uithuizen is one of the best-preserved fortified manor houses in Groningen province, with roots going back to the fourteenth century. The interior is furnished as it would have looked when a Groningen noble family lived there in the eighteenth century, with original furniture and family portraits still in place. The formal gardens surrounding the building are among the finest historic gardens in the northern Netherlands.
