Kasteel Twickel near Ambt Delden is one of the largest inhabited castles in the Netherlands. The estate has been in private hands for centuries and includes extensive English and French-style gardens, woodlands and working farms. The castle itself dates largely from the seventeenth century and opens to visitors on special occasions and guided tours.
