Kasteel-Museum Sypesteyn is a castle near Loosdrecht, rebuilt in the early twentieth century on the foundations of a medieval stronghold that was destroyed in the seventeenth century. It houses the Van Sypesteyn family collection: old masters, porcelain, weapons and portraits. The castle is surrounded by a formal garden laid out in a historical style.
