Kasteel Duivenvoorde in Voorschoten is one of the oldest inhabited castles in the Netherlands, with origins in the thirteenth century. The estate includes a listed castle, a historic garden, and a collection of portraits, furniture and decorative arts assembled over centuries by a single family. Guided tours run regularly, and the castle also hosts concerts, cultural events and civil ceremonies.
