The Hunebedcentrum in Borger is the national information centre dedicated to the megalithic tombs known as hunebedden and the prehistory of Drenthe. It stands right next to the largest hunebed in the Netherlands and tells the story of the Funnel Beaker people who built these burial monuments around 5,000 years ago. Alongside the permanent collection, the centre hosts temporary exhibitions and educational programmes for schools and families.
