About the venue

The Hembrugterrein is a former military-industrial complex on the banks of the Noordzeekanaal in Zaandam, where munitions and weapons were manufactured from the late 19th century until the 1990s. The sprawling site contains dozens of listed factory buildings and now functions as a hub for art, culture and creative enterprise. Festivals, exhibitions and large-scale events are regularly held amid the striking industrial architecture.
