About the venue

The Comenius Museum in Naarden is dedicated to the Czech philosopher and educationalist Jan Amos Comenius (1592-1670), who spent the final years of his life in the town. The museum covers his life and ideas, and next to it stands the mausoleum where he is buried - drawing visitors from across the world with an interest in the history of education.
