About the venue

The Blokhuispoort in Leeuwarden is a sixteenth-century former prison that has been transformed into a cultural and creative hub. The monumental complex houses studios, restaurants, event spaces and a hotel. Concerts, festivals, markets and exhibitions take place on the large inner courtyard and throughout the historic buildings.
