About the venue

The Atelier van Mondriaan in Blaricum is a reconstruction of the studio where Piet Mondriaan lived and worked around 1904-1905, well before his iconic abstract style took shape. The modest wooden building gives a sense of the simple conditions in which he painted the landscapes of the Gooi region. It is one of the few tangible reminders of Mondriaan's time in this part of the Netherlands.
