Description was written before the event

Will Schrauwen and Margo van Zummeren explain how they visualized the colonial history of their parents in their 'visual journey', after which you work on your own (family) history.

This creative workshop is part of 'Freedom Struggle in Two Continents'.

About the venue: de Bibliotheek LocHal

The LocHal is a former NS locomotive shed that was converted into a public library and cultural meeting place. The striking industrial building from the 1930s reopened in 2019 after an extensive renovation and was named Best Library in the Netherlands that same year. Alongside books and workspaces, it hosts lectures, exhibitions and other events.
