Heerenhuyskamerconcert - Mike Boddé & The Krotenkokers

When Mike Boddé asked singer Simone Roerade and actor-singer Joris Lutz to perform on his 'Rotterdam Hymne', a trio was born with just one song to their name. The Krotenkokers didn't need long to find their repertoire; it was mainly a matter of making choices to keep the programme from becoming too full. The audience can expect everything from Bachian bossanovas to dreamy country, bluesy funk and 010 funk, complemented by Rotterdam songs that unmistakably bear Mike's signature.

Mike Boddé has worked in theatre with many artists, most notably in a cabaret duo with Thomas van Luyn, but also with Hadwych Minis and Frits Lambrechts. He now focuses entirely on making music. Simone Roerade's soulful voice and band Mrs Hips regularly turn festivals and pop venues upside down; with Woodstock Legends she filled the Concertgebouw five times in 2019 and 2020 with her interpretation of Janis Joplin. Joris Lutz is known as an actor, presenter, lyricist and children's author, but also as a singer and guitarist. In theatres he performs The Six String Sessions, where he invites guitarists such as Spike, Douwe Bob, David Hollestelle, Anton Goudsmit and the Kik to play together.
