Tapschrift

An evening of Tapschrift, an open stage for verbal art in Arnhem. Twelve speakers will perform, each with five minutes on stage. The programme runs between 20:00 and 23:00, with performances continuing until midnight.

Since 2011, Tapschrift has hosted written and spoken word, theatre, music, cabaret, and experimental acts such as ventriloquists and magicians. The initiative now also takes place in Nijmegen, Utrecht, and at various festivals.

Performers are selected from applications made via the event page on Instagram. Newcomers and those travelling from afar receive priority. Performances can be read from a phone, but speakers are encouraged to memorise their text or print it out. Cancellations should be made in advance to avoid disrupting the schedule.
