Bismillah (NL)

Description was written before the event
A quiet narrative. A reflection on life. A box, a hundred metres of ribbon and a story that slowly unfolds.
In Bismillah, Layla weaves her own story into a shared experience: intimate, physical and poetic, entirely focused on the here and now. Intuitively, she chose words that she embroidered together with other women onto a hundred-metre-long ribbon - a tangible biography.
During this participatory performance, Layla invites the audience to unroll the ribbon together, and with it the lifeline it represents. This creates a sensory experience of text, movement, sound and the people who participate: a ritual of encounter that invites connection.
A moment of acceptance and reflection. An intense experience.
