Description was written before the event
Two solitary figures drift on an ice floe, surrounded by a wild and turbulent ocean that makes you queasy if you drift on it too long without a sense of direction. That boundlessness makes them endlessly free, but also adrift.
Along the way, all sorts of objects wash ashore on the floe. The two use these things to recreate the world, but because they keep giving them new functions, their own reality emerges.
They mistake the sound of the coast guard for mythical sirens, pull a wave over themselves like a duvet, and a washed-up saw sings them to sleep.
The ice floe becomes a playground where imagination takes over, but also a mirror that lays bare the pain of two forgotten people.
