Joke Bruijs Tribute with Frits Landesbergen & Friends

On 16 September 2025, Joke Bruijs, singer and comedian beloved by Rotterdam residents and especially by those in the South district where she was born and raised in 1952, passed away. In the world of music, film and theatre, she was known for her warm personality and unmistakable laugh. She had a special bond with Theater Walhalla: particularly in the early years from 2008 onwards, she performed there regularly and helped establish the theatre's reputation.

This tribute is led by her musical partner Frits Landesbergen. He brings along several renowned jazz musicians, complemented by young talented vocalists. Together they want to show that Joke Bruijs was not only a wonderful actress and comedian, but also one of the finest jazz singers in the Netherlands.
