Leoni Jansen and Carel Kraayenhof - Melancholy in the Polder 3

Carel Kraayenhof and Leoni Jansen bring their third edition of 'Melancholie in de Polder' to Kantine Walhalla in Rotterdam-Katendrecht on Sunday, 20 September. This intimate venue in a former harbour building hosts a programme of Argentine folk music, Irish and Scottish traditionals, and folk songs sung in Spanish, English and Dutch, alongside new compositions for bandoneon, voice, guitar and bodhran. The duo from the Beemster performs seven times across the Netherlands this autumn, with this afternoon's show in Rotterdam. The raw, experimental character of Kantine Walhalla provides the perfect setting for this intimate performance.
