Vogelvrij - Album Recordings

The word "vogelvrij" carries two meanings: to be outlawed, but also to be free as a bird. The second meaning takes centre stage here.

Cellist Joshua Herwig, viola d'amore player Oene van Geel and percussionist Marc Sentenie perform entirely by ear this evening - no scores, no fixed structures, no hierarchy. What sounds emerges in the moment. The microphones are rolling, because the intention is for this musical adventure to eventually become a record.
