Sherlock (8+) - Bovenste Knoopje Open
Sherlock is a boy with what his parents call an "unusual mind". At school he has few friends and is often bullied and excluded - but why remains a mystery to him. Fortunately, Sherlock loves mysteries. He is passionate about puzzles and his favourite books are about the adventures of his namesake, Sherlock Holmes.
Bovenste Knoopje Open's production is a musical detective story - a "who-done-it" - about the magic of reading, what it means to be on the autism spectrum, and how to cope with the loss of a loved one. The youth productions of Bovenste Knoopje Open are poetic and sincere, and anything but patronizing.
