The NRC places Selma Visscher on the cabaret spectrum somewhere between Jan Beuving (linguistic sensitivity) and Nathalie Baartman (the elusive). Her debut was received with four stars - both in the NRC and on Theaterparadijs.nl - and she was praised for her silky voice and clever, sharp jokes.
