Wouter Monden

Wouter Monden loves LEGO®. Like in his childhood, he prefers building a world that is clear and orderly - for himself and his daughter, who is growing up faster than he would like, in a time so different from his own youth.

In his show "Met Blokjes" (With Blocks), he talks about space shuttles, polar bears, and a boozy holiday in Lloret de Mar, but also about the absurdity of fascism. Along the way, he tells the true story of a zoo director who is ordered during the war to kill his big cats - including the newborn polar bear twins he holds so dear.

The show is directed by Titus Tiel Groenestege. Critics have compared Monden to Dolf Jansen, Diederik van Vleuten, and Pieter Derks.
