Set the Bar w/ Mokum Rave Massive

Set the Bar is an evening in the café of De Helling where local and Dutch artists from the underground bass scene take the stage. The focus is on crews pushing the boundaries of club culture - think breakbeats and curated club sounds from the underground.

Mokum Rave Massive (MRM) is a collective rooted in underground rave culture around multi-genre bass music. They organize accessible (outdoor) events in the spirit of the British drum-and-bass scene, inspired by the free-city movement. MRM stands for self-expression, collective autonomy, and the right of people to create their own spaces outside imposed structures. Core values: community over profit, music over ego, freedom over fame. Removing barriers so no one is excluded is the guiding principle.
