Pepijn Schoneveld
In "Welcome That You Listen", Pepijn Schoneveld combines his love for Dutch-language song with his comedic talent. He gives songs by major artists a second life - because they are "too beautiful to forget" - and also performs new numbers written especially for him.
Between the music, Pepijn unleashes the comedian within: with witty transitions, comic twists and powerful scenes that string together these cabaret gems. The result is a comedy concert, or stand-up cabaret - a blend of poetic songs and inventive jokes.
Thematically, the show revolves around the old Pepijn: someone who lived for a long time as a dog with many masters, until suddenly he had to sort everything out himself. A coming-of-age story, or really a coming-from-far-away story, with a starring role for Queer Eye and a life-changing guide to being alone. He takes you through that evening together with pianist Charlie Bo Meijering, and with songs by among others Yentl & De Boer, Maarten van Roozendaal, Jurriaan van Dongen, Ramses Shaffy and Ron van Zalmsaus.
