Duo Vimári

Klara Mikuž (2004) and Christophe Pütz (2004) are both studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory and present their newly formed violin-marimba duo, Duo Vimári. The marimba brings a resonant, colourful sound; the violin adds lyrical expressivity. By incorporating electronic soundscapes, the duo elevates the chamber music format to another level and explores new possibilities of timbre and interaction.

The programme features works by Steven Snowden and Lyle Mays, original arrangements of Franz Liszt and Béla Bartók, and a new work specially written for this duo by Munich-based composer Yann Windeshausen (2002).
