Mood Bored

Mood Bored (NL) has evolved over recent years into a trio with a distinctive sound of their own. In 2026, the band is working on their debut album, deliberately choosing a rawer and more experimental sound rooted in shoegaze, noisepop and alt-rock.

Beneath layers of noisy guitars and thundering drums lies a self-assured inner voice - harder, more honest and more uncompromising than before. The band seeks out the tension between hard and soft, sharp and hazy, organic and digital: grand and sweeping, yet at the same time personal and intimate.

Mood Bored was selected as a 3voor12 Popronde talent in 2022 and has since released two EPs: Bored (2023) and Too Much? (2025). With sold-out headline shows, an EU support tour with Nation of Language and support slots for acts including Sorry, Gurriers, Mother Mother and Wolf Alice, the band has built a solid following in the Netherlands and the UK.

The new album was recorded at Black Mountain Studios in Dundalk (IE) and produced with Irish producer David Noonan (Just Mustard). The album comes out in spring 2027 on Mattan Records. The first single Skin is released on 24 September 2026.
