Housequake: History of House

Housequake is the collaboration between Roog (Rogier van Bueren) and Erick E (Erick Eerdhuijzen), born from a spontaneous back-to-back set. Their project has since grown into a dance phenomenon that generations of clubbers have grown up with.

Both DJs have been active as solo artists since the 1990s. Erick E made his name as a turntablist - he won the DMC World Championship - and later became a resident at club RoXY. Roog gained international recognition with his hardsoul project on the British house label Defected, and established soulful and funky house with his 'Sound of Love and Dedication' compilations.
