All Eyez on 2Pac

Few artists have influenced pop culture as profoundly as Tupac "2Pac" Shakur. As a gangsta revolutionary, he sold millions of records while making enemies on the streets, in the industry, and even at the White House. In 1996, at the height of his career, he was shot dead. The murder remained unsolved for decades - until now. Thirty years later, the man who orchestrated the attack was found guilty, and attention has turned back to 2Pac.

Hip-hop linguist and 2Pac expert Steven Gilbers now re-examines his life story. He shows how the contradictions that defined 2Pac ultimately led to his death. How did a rapper from New York become the face of West Coast hip-hop? Why did a man who wanted to unite his community align himself with street gangs? And what does 2Pac's speech and flow have to do with it all?
