The New Amsterdam Trio brings together three musicians from different parts of the world: New York trombonist and countertenor David Whitwell, Swiss pianist Daniel Roser, and Dutch drummer Gustan Asselbergs. Together they blend jazz and classical music in adventurous ways.

The Pianola Museum in Amsterdam holds one of the world's largest collections of pianolas and mechanical pianos - over 130 instruments and tens of thousands of music rolls. Concerts are held regularly in the atmospheric canal-house setting, with the historic instruments actually played rather than just displayed. It paints a vivid picture of popular music culture around 1900.
