Jazzy Jewels & Classical Pearls

Classically trained pianist Marcel Worms has long explored the borderland between classical and jazz, but this is his first album as a jazz pianist. To mark his 75th birthday, he fulfills a long-held wish: an album of improvisations on jazz standards and Bach themes.

The album also features a selection of short classical pieces that never found a place on his earlier recordings - works that embody the freedom, freshness and spontaneity so characteristic of jazz.

This concert is the presentation of the new album. Worms performs a generous selection from its repertoire.
