Description was written before the event

The Oldehove was once built to touch the sky. On Tuesday, October 20, you can climb the tower and view the autumn sky above Leeuwarden through a telescope during an evening of stargazing.

About the venue: Oldehove

The Oldehove is a medieval church tower in Leeuwarden that was never completed - construction started in 1529 but was abandoned, leaving the tower with a pronounced lean that rivals Pisa's. It remains one of Friesland's most recognisable landmarks. Visitors can climb the tower for a panoramic view over the city, and the surrounding square regularly hosts festivals and markets.
