The Kulture of Hype and Hope - Wind Edition

The Kulture of Hype & Hope is an annual hip-hop dance event with four editions, each centred on a different element. On Saturday 12 September from 12:00, De Helling in Utrecht hosts the WIND edition. Organisers Giovani Vreede and Marsha Webster collaborate with DOX for this event.

The programme features 1vs1 battles in hip-hop and/or freestyle. The judging panel includes hip-hop judges (TBA) and freestyle judges (TBA). DJ Kinsoul provides music for the hip-hop battles, DJ Chris Trib3 for the freestyle battles. Registration for participants takes place on site; spectators can purchase tickets via the ticket link. Everyone is welcome.

The WIND edition counts towards the Kulture Ranking, which runs from the EARTH edition in April through the WATER edition in January 2027. The top 8 from that ranking will compete in the final on 10 January 2027 during the GOLD edition, featuring 3vs3 hip-hop battles. De Helling is the permanent venue for all editions.
