Commemoration of Market Garden Bombings in Ede

Operation Market Garden began on 17 September 1944 not with airborne landings, but with bombing raids. A large portion of the bombs intended for the Ede barracks fell on the village itself.

This commemoration honours the 71 civilians who died in the bombardment.
