Ruben Hein

On Friday 30 October, pianist, singer and songwriter Ruben Hein returns to the stage at BIRD. He broke through with his debut album Loose Fit (2010) and the single Elephants, and has since built a varied career with multiple albums, EPs and collaborations with Jonathan Jeremiah, Oleta Adams, Benjamin Herman, the Metropole Orkest and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.

Recently, he has embarked on a new musical direction. With the singles Weatherman and Radio Silence, created together with producers Remme ter Haar and Stephan Cuny, he returned to the soulful foundation of his early work. On 20 February 2026, his latest single Say Something You Mean was released, part of a series of releases through which he dedicates 2026 entirely to new music.

During this club show at BIRD, Ruben presents this new chapter for the first time live: new tracks, a refreshed live set and familiar songs side by side.
