Forgotten Crafts - Cyanotype printing 4
Dokhuis, Rotterdam · free (donatieticket mogelijk)
A four-week workshop series exploring cyanotype printing on paper. Cyanotype is a simple, playful technique that requires no prior knowledge - the results are always surprising.
Each session begins with coating paper in cyanotype emulsion. We then take a quiet walk around Dokhuis to gather elements for our compositions: leaves, flowers, feathers, stones. You can also bring items from home. After carefully arranging the elements on paper, we expose the prints with UV light and rinse them with water. The covered areas remain white, while the rest turns deep blue.
The workshops are conducted primarily in English, with simple Dutch translation. Each session lasts 2 hours and is led by Raluca Croitoru - an artist, yoga teacher and educator with over 10 years of experience in the cultural sector.
Participation is free; registration is required. A donation ticket supports Dokhuis and helps keep other events free.
