Forgotten Crafts - Cyanotype printing 3
In this four-week workshop series, you'll create cyanotype prints on paper. Cyanotypy is a simple, playful technique that requires no prior knowledge - the results are always different and often surprising.
Each session begins with coating paper with cyanotype emulsion. Then comes a mindful walk around Dokhuis, where you consciously gather elements for your composition: leaves, flowers, feathers, stones. You can also bring items from home. After carefully arranging the elements on paper, the prints are exposed to UV light and rinsed with water. The exposed areas turn dark blue, the covered areas remain white.
The workshops are conducted primarily in English, with simple Dutch translation. Each session lasts 2 hours and is led by Raluca Croitoru - artist, yoga teacher and educator with over 10 years of experience in the cultural sector.
Participation is free; registration is required. With a donation ticket, you support Dokhuis and help keep other events free.
