The Big Draw comes to Arnhem

The Big Draw is the world's largest drawing festival, and in September 2026 it comes to Arnhem's city centre and neighbourhoods. Rozet invites people to experience the power and joy of drawing during this festival - not only in the centre, but also on squares and in shopping areas throughout the city.

Since 2023, shop owners, business associations and institutions have made their windows available to artists as part of the window route. From 16 to 20 September 2026, artists and makers are active on the windows of local businesses and other organisations in Geitenkamp, Presikhaaf, Klarendal, Malburgen, De Laar and Elderveld.

Daily programme: on Wednesday 16 September, the neighbourhood festival opens in Presikhaaf with artwork on the windows of Rozet library. Friday features drawing activities around community centre Fresh in Malburgen West. Saturday has window routes in the Fashion Quarter, Elderhof shopping centre and Oostburgwal in De Laar, plus free drawing activities for shoppers. On Sunday, users of the Vlindertuin (Sperwerstraat 97, a centre for art and social entrepreneurship in a historic old school) run an extensive drawing programme in two sessions.
