For the first time in 85 years, the twelve monumental agricultural paintings from the Dutch pavilion at the 1935 Brussels World's Fair are reunited - now on display at the Veenkoloniaal Museum.

The Veenkoloniaal Museum in Veendam charts the history of peat extraction and the shipping and straw-cardboard industries that grew from it in the Groningen peat colonies. Its collection includes ship models, period interiors and everyday objects that bring the lives of peat diggers and bargemen to life. The museum is housed in a characteristic 19th-century building beside the Winkler Prins Park.
