Description was written before the event

The exhibition Cherished presents a selection of works by two Zaan artists who have faded from memory: Nelly and Tine Honig. On display are Nelly's portraits and lithographs alongside Tine's still lifes, which showcase her distinctive sense of colour and composition.

About the venue: Zaans Museum

The Zaans Museum in Zaandam charts the history of the Zaanstreek region, from its golden age of trade and industry to the windmills and distinctive green timber houses that still define the area. The permanent collection covers paintings, everyday objects and industrial heritage, and the museum sits right next to the open-air Zaanse Schans. Temporary exhibitions on regional art and culture run throughout the year.
