On Saturday, 3 October 2026, De Bonte Wever hosts the tenth edition of the New Blues Festival Assen, in collaboration with the Bluesstichting Assen.

The line-up features artists from the Netherlands and abroad: King King, Sean Webster Band, AJ Plug & Band, Blues Caravan 2026 and The Black River Roots. Alongside the performances, there is a hospitality area with food, whisky and craft beer.
