Splendor Children's Concert #3
Every second Sunday of the month, a different musician takes children on a musical discovery journey at Splendor. This is not a concert where you sit quietly - children sit on cushions and blankets right next to the musicians, can ask questions, look at instruments up close and even try some out.
This concert: Iris presents Sarah with a whole family of recorders, Dave on tuba and Peter on percussion. How different can wind and percussion instruments actually sound?
Each month features different instruments - wind instruments, string instruments, percussion, electronic instruments and instruments from all over the world. Musicians briefly talk about the music and play short pieces. There is also music-making together: children, parents, grandparents are invited to participate in a simple musical game.
