Description was written before the event
The Czaar Peterhuisje in Zaandam is one of the oldest wooden houses in the Netherlands and the country's second-oldest museum. It gained worldwide fame because Tsar Peter the Great stayed here for eight days in 1697 - in the modest home of blacksmith Gerrit Kist - to learn the craft of shipbuilding.
