What do Joseph Beuys and Adolf Hitler have in common? After World War II, Beuys became a sensation in the art world. He believed that every person is an artist and that art can change the world - which is why he wanted to admit everyone to his classes at the art academy.

Hitler was an aspiring painter as a young man and was rejected twice by the art academy. As a Nazi leader, he used art as a propaganda tool and branded anything that didn't fit the Nazi ideal as 'degenerate'. Would he have become a different person if that academy had admitted him?
